Im getting little bubbles, about the size of a 10 cent piece, under the paint on the side of my aluminium van. Looks like wates is getting under the paint and causing corrosion.
Does anyone have any ideas what's causing this and what to do with the corrosion. Does rust converter work on aluminium?

There is a possibility then that the corrosion evident may be the site of an old repair. If this is the case you will need to strip the panel, prime and respray. White is the cheapest of the auto paint colours.

Are you sure it's the paint and not under the aluminium skin ? Avan, a few years ago were renowned for delamination issues due to a some sort of glue or faulty lamination issue.

Where are you located? Can you take it to a Smash repairer to look at it?

Get s pro or caravan outlet to check it out . Fixing it and what is causing it can be two different things ? Had a alloy boat . Had some old 1 & 2c coins dropped between ribs . It caused corrosion big time . Lucky we can weld alloy ! Easy fix . But we could have repaired and left the cause there !!

Could be a repair. Delam, as said.
IF electrolosys, it normally shows as uneven bubbles with whitish\grey.
Hard powder under it..
If you do it yourself.
Make sure you use "Aluminium" Primers only, Coupla coats.
and. If you want it NOT to show. Paint that WHOLE panel.
White is also. One of the worst colours to colour match.
It MAY show against other panels.
But a panel with obvious spray patch on part of it looks gross.
PUSH the bubbles. are they solid or slight flex.
Normally delam is separation and can show flex? depending on size of.
Talking delam.
I laid Cork tiles over floor in van, looks nice. I hate Lino and carpet.
But sealer really darkened them Grrr.
Super duper latest SIKA spray adhesive.
Latest and greatest. $34 a can x 5. Lay and can move to match. NOT instant.
Hah.
5 months later. I can still lift up corners with 1 in scraper. and adh still "tacky".
DO NOT buy......
I've just gone round whole floor. resetting all tiles with Clear Silicon and heavy roller.
Hopefully........
Must admit though. 12in Natural Cork tiles look better than most other coatings. Soft on feet. and warm too.
Back to subject. Just my little whinge for the day.
