our pump has decided to misbehave. When the pump is turned on the tank water gushes out of the City Water Inlet. the pump does not shut down and no water comes out of the taps, hot or cold. Not sure what has happened. Previous couple of days we were in a van park and using park water and 240 power. Now we are bush camping and can only use water if we block the town water inlet. No plumber or caravan shop I the near vicinity. Any ideas?
Thanks

Without knowing the make of the van I would take a strong guess and go for the one way valve in the system.
It is usually near the town supply inlet fitting.
It may have dirt lodged inside it or even a broken spring.
As I said this is only an educated guess, but will give you a place to start your diagnosis.

Thanks Geoff. I will check it out. The van is a Crusader Musketeer. Cheers

Thanks again Geoff. Sounds very similar to our problem. We have blocked the mains inlet pipe and that seems to be working for the time being, until we can sort it out on our return home.
Kind regards

Your Mains inlet.
NORMALLY has a non return valve in line with a pressure reducer
on most vans I've had.
Mainly Brass ones. but plastic fine.
I carry spare Plastic one in tool box.
with 1\2 doz, Jubilee clips for leaky connections.

Thanks Macka17,
that seems to be the problem. Will get it sorted and make sure we have a spare next time :)
