We have leaks in 2 side windows (soaking the mattress of our beds) on our Avan motorhome (As in our avatar)
Avan have tried 3 times to fix it Without success! And just ignore us now!!!
It appears that the leak is above the hinges at the top of both windows. We have read suggestions on other leaking window topics to remove window and reseal it.
Is this our only option and has anyone else fixed one on Fiat Ducato body before?
Cheers, Delphine

Hi Delphine.
We had a similar problem. Ours is actually an Avida and don't know if the windows are the same.
Make sure all the four window closures are completely closed and the locking button pops out.
Wipe all the surfaces between the window and the rubber seals.
We had the problem that one of the locking buttons had not popped out.
No more problems after this.
Good Luck, Peter

Are you sure it is actually coming in at the window. It may be leaking in above window (roof) and coming out the window. I the dealer has removed and resealed window it is unlikely they made the same mistake so more likely further afield the origin of leak.

Thanks Nel. We thought that might be the issue too so tested by hosing the window and it leaked around hinge area at top. Also tried the roof with no water visible inside cabin, either at the time or a few hours later. Though worth a further inspection. Wondered if water could come thru vents of air conditioner into roof cavity as safety switch was tripped after last downpour.

Only way to stop Avida side window leaking was to have it removed and resealed by a professional.

"Avan have tried 3 times to fix it Without success! And just ignore us now!!!"
Seems to be typical of the industry. I would pursue them further.
