How long would a 9kg gas bottle last on a 150 to 180 litre fridge on average.
Thanks John.

By my calculations about 10 to 12 days, depending of course on the ambient temperature and how well your fridge was fitted and insulated.

I'd agree with patrol03 - we got 7 days on ours with a 4.5kg bottle but we turned it off between midnite and 6 am to save gas. Thermostat does not operate when on gas and it is flat out all the time.
Good Luck.

I know it sounds obvious.....but keep the opening and closing of the fridge door to a minimum and the more pre-frozen stuff you put in the better as this helps to keep the ambient temp in your fridge/freezer down. We have a Dometic 180lt fridge with separate freezer and when on gas, it only fires up when the temps rise - it doesn't run non-stop

You are correct - it's when on 12Vdc that it runs non-stop. It's too long since we've run it on gas.
