I want a battery to run my ingel freezer. I have a battery box but do not know what type of battery I should get. The battery will be in the back of my car and I can pug into the battery and the ingel with the lead supplied. I also have a battery charger which I would use to recharge the battery.

What sort of battery box? A plastic shell or one with all the smarts?

I have one of these batteries www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Century-Car-Battery-Deep-Cycle-NS70T-75Ah/377684 in a box similar to this www.arkcorp.com.au/c/37/arkpak-portable-power .
I have the power pack connected to my car power outlet via a PROJECTA ODP500 CAR BATTERY 12V ACCESSORY DUAL 2ND BATTERY DISCHARGE PROTECTOR.
The power pack can also take a solar panel via an anderson plug.
My engel is a MT45FP. On a really hot day running on solar, the battery just dies not long after the sun goes down even if the battery is fully charged mid-afternoon.

Century are NOT one of the better ones.
Try the EXIDE EXTREMES for longer, stronger, life.
We used them in the yachts for decades. Held power well.
Run a DECENT cable from battery to Solenoid unit Then Straight to battery.
Decent wiring again to fr.
Unfortunately those Engels do drink the juice in relation to Danfoss compressors.
There have been enuff trials in it posted.
If using a genny. Have. at LEAST a 20a smart, or 3\4 way charger.
I use a 40a 3 way Mobile..
With a 7a smart Built in tray, for when near power.
It's also a good idea. Depending on veh.
To have a coupla roof bars with 1 or 2 panels up there. Going straight to rear battery\s.
My 80w Waeco runs (in daylight) from mine, with some juice going into battery's too.

we have a full river 100ah battery in the rear tub for our engel. Also have an 80w solar panel on the roof. Set up is about 8yrs old and the only trouble I had was when I forgot to turn the dial back from deep freeze to a medium setting - just took a while to get the battery back up to full strength. When 240v power is available I run a lead to the van for the engel rather than leave it running on battery supply

If your going to have it inside the vehicle with you then a AGM or a GEL battery, a wet cell job is not suitable inside the vehicle, go for 120ah and you will have plenty of power.

I have a plastic battery box in back of tug with a 105amphr ZAP agm battery, connected to anderson plug, made box removable, use a solenoid under hood, run an Engel MR40F Eclipse 38 litre, ran in back of tug for 2weeks as a freezer, battery low on day 12, plugged Engel into rear cig socket so battery could recharge no probs after a days driving, then plugged Engel into power last two days in caravan park
