I am wondering how far from the town is Green Lakes and can you walk to town centre for shopping?

No, you cannot walk to town. Elmore is around 10-15 mins drive - Rochester is around 20-25 mins and Stanhope is around 20-25 mins drive. There is a small store about 3min drive from Greens Lake. (depending on how fast you drive of course )

Hi Helen, Mike has given you the information for GreenS Lake, Corop. It is on the Midland Hwy and about 50km West of Shepparton.
May I add that Kyabram is 35 mins away as well, a good town with good shops.
The "Small' store is 7km...2km to Midland hwy from lake then 5 km down that road.
