They walk further and then come across a sign : World's BIGGEST liar. Pinochio says "This one is for me". After a while he comes out with tears in his eyes.. Superman & Snow white asks "What happened??" Pinochio replies "Who the hell is Bill Shorten?"

Is is quite normal to be a "losing winner" ... it depend on the aim, the goal and the outcome.
If one achieves one's aim and one's goal with an expected, or better, outcome then one can definitely be a winner whilst appearing to be a loser.
Surprisingly, finishing first is not the only criteria to be a 'winner'.
