Any Toyota Prado owners running 265 70 R17s in place of the original 265 65 R17s that came standard on the vehicle. My camper has two spare 275 75 R16s on rims that are compatible with the Prado and I am looking to better match the rolling diameter of the Prado wheel/tyres combination with them so that I have three spares that can be used on either of Prado or the camper.
Secondly, has anyone tried Sailun Terra Max AT tyres. Any good?

In my opinion you only get what you pay for.I for one like to run on quality rubber.There are plenty of reasonably priced tyres on the market.I suggest you stick to the known brands.

Agree. The Sailuns are on the camper. After further research I have discovered that I can use them as is as emergency spares for the Prado, there being only 10mm difference in diameter between them on 16' rims (265 7s R16) and the Prado ones (256 65 R17). They would only be fitted in the event of a second flat on the Prado and the original flat tyre not being repaired yet .

Just catching up on a few posts here and noticed this one.
Dont forget that the Prado is an ALL-WHEEL drive vehicle. That means that all the wheels are driven at the same time and at the same speed.
Using a tyre of a different circumference can upset the proverbial applecart. So check with some expert (not neccessarily a tyre place either) before mixing the tyres up.

The other thing to check is the rim off-set, while the tires may be compatable, the rims may not be, I have done the same, but have had to buy spacers to ensure clearance, if using the ute spare on the van.
