Hi All
My projecta 25a charger has died on me after 5 years - there is no power getting so the thing is basically dead. the question is Is it repairable ? if no can anyone recommend a suitable replacement?
thnx M

Will be more economical to simply replace. We use a 50 amp Projecta. One of the best on the market IMHO.

There is a fuse inside but you have to have the skills to open it up. Worth a check, those are good chargers.

If it really has passed on then I'd look at the IC5000 model from the same manufacturer. I've yet to see one actually die, the most common fault is broken voltage sense wires that run through the centre of the charging cables.

It doesnt power up so no lights at all - where is the fuse located ?

The fuse is on the board virtually behind the fan and marked F1. Printed on the circuit board of this IC3500 I just modified for external battery voltage sensing, the fuse is listed as 10 amp for the 3500 and 12 amp for the 5000. It is white in the centre glass part and plugs into a soldered on cap at each end.
The DC output is protected within the circuitry on the smaller output models so no fuse is visible, from memory the 50 amp unit has 2 50 amp blde type fuses in parallel roughly centre of the board.
