VIC and NSW. Road works a plenty and down to 40kmh at all of them. Sloooow going for sure so allow extra time in your planning. I reckon it will be like that for 12 months at least.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

We like going on the roads less traveled to avoid highway like the Hume, cause they are more scenic, less traffic and less roadworks.

Yes we came north to NSW through Cooma . Nice part of the country . Stopping overnight in country towns . So friendly, welcoming .

I hope that they are going to fill in the expansion gaps on the concrete slabs, Doug
It is about the only highway I have been on, and heard the thump, thump, thump of the wheels
Talking about roadworks, it is now 25 KPH in South Australia

Lately I have not had to wait much more then 10 minutes at each road works flagman and the slow drive through the stretch does not really add much time. It's amazing how much longer and further some members will travel to miss a bit of road works. I think many make too much out of encountering road works.

Gday...
I agree Peter. I actually don't mind the opportunity to sit and listen more completely to the CD playing - while stopped and while driving at 40kph through the road works.
As you say, it really does not add much time to the journey ... of course, it is always the journey and not the destination that is the enjoyable part.
I am also pleased to see the road works because I know that quite probably next time I traverse that bit of road, it will be an improvement to what it was.
Cheers - John

Hello madaboutled
I have only been on the Pacific Highway once, 2013 or thereabouts
I was in a Ford Falcon, with coil springs, towing a well balanced caravan, at about 80 KPH, due to the high temperatures
I felt the expansion cracks, but did not actually feel the thump, thump, thump, which I did in my motorhome, on the Hume last month
