My wife and I are in the process of getting a van built and would like some feedback on which windows we should fit to our van. We prefer the appearance of the Aussie Traveller blinds but dont have any experience.
Can someone please provide feedback on which windows you would recommend and why. (Before we sign on the dotted line)

If you can get them wind out auto-glass - much more reliable and secure that the Acrylic push out types.

With wind out windows, the flyscreen stays in place when you open or close the window.
With the new style push out, the flyscreen has to be opened to open or close the window letting all the bugs in. Makes no sense to me.

Yep one of the reasons I went with windouts on our new van.
You also hear of numerous problems with the blinds/fly screens on push out windows becoming stuck or losing tension.
Went with Camec Odyssey Plus windows with block out curtains.

Thank you for the great feedback. Wind out makes a lot of sense especially if the fly screen stays in place. I guess you need curtains on this style of window or are there blinds fitted as well.

Curtains on ours. Some have blinds, personal choice really. We have never had blinds, prefer the curtains.
Don't know how blinds go when travelling, they may bang around and mark the wall. Someone who has them could answer that.

One thing to consider, hopper windows under a awning can be a menace. If you have a window that a door swings back across then you can not have both the door and window open at the same time. You are also likely to bump your head on an open hopper window. Consider having sliding windows on the awning side. Coromal used to do that as a matter or course. I have also ordered my vans with sliding windows under the awning and hoppers around the rest of the van. If you go that way then it will narrow down your brand selection.

The caravan industry refers to the wind out windows as hopper windows.
