I wonder if the pole is going to be rigid enough when travelling? may get an unusable picture if vibrating too much? Just a quick thought when I saw your photo.

I have seen them on the bumper, its alright to have them mounted with the cable running inside the wall and Have them coming out the top in a new build.
Hi, I'm about to mount a rear view camera on our van
I have is a 30 degree CCD camera to fit
My question is where to mount it
up high or on the bumper ??
advice very welcome
Hi Dougwe.
Are you sure your camera is set above the horizon?
Seems a bit high.....
It would be ok at night for stargazing
Chris
We have a van that we got 2 months ago new whit a camera it is mounted 30cm from the top. Find it great use it more then mirrors.
Cheers Colin
Hi,
Thanks guy's for the replies
I emailed 'NAS Electronics' where I brought the 30 degree camera
from and they recommend mounting just above the spare wheel carrier 1m from
ground
and they said by mounting there I will get same view as rear view mirror
so I went 50/50 and mounted it on a post 1.6m
when I try it out I can cut the mounting down if need be
Cheers Ken
