Just getting back into caravanning after a lengthy layoff.
Just after as much info as possible, on what people are using, brands and setups, and recommendations on a suitable portable satellite system?
I would hope to cover all of oz, nth, sth, east and west.
cheers

Hi David....I bought a Satking, which is good for all of Australia except the absolute extreme tip of Cape York.It is permanently mounted up among my Solar panels so that when I need it, I simply press the button on the remote and wait for it to find the satellite! Most of the time I use an aerial that clips to the side of the van,but the Satellite is there for times when that doesnt play the game! Hope this helps? Safe and happy travels to all.Cheers.

As someone who hasn't watched TV in, at least, five years I'm curious as to which channels you can receive on a portable satellite system?

I think we get all free to air channels with our Satplus system.

Nothing more interesting? BBC World Service maybe?
Everywhere you go, it either cracks you up or makes you cringe how horrible local TV ads are
We are also considering the SatKing Plus on our next van

Only if you have the Central Bouquet.
Take Western & you'll get WA ads
Make sure you get an 80 - 85cm Dish Tops, you won't have a problem setting up.
