Morning.
I have just taken out 2 x110 AGM batteries, I thought that I had only got 4 years out of them but finding some paper work,
I got about 6 years out of them, I have decided to go back to one Battery of about 135amp to 150amp, For what I am running.
Can I do better with another Brand or is AGM still the one to buy,
If I buy on line how good is the information on how long the battery has sat on the shelf,
Regards Bowser.

AGM = Absorbent Glass Mat
Fullriver is one of the better brands, albeit they are dearer to purchase.

I have three $550 each US made batteries in my motorhome .My son has the cheaper $300 batteries in his camper trailer. ( Mainly because I bought them !! Lol ). After 4 years both holding up fine !! Weâll see how much extra I get from paying near double for batteries . I think the main part is battery maintenance! Have enough battery and solar so theyâre NOT draining or cycling too deep over night . Then good charging maintenance when not in use ! I learnt big time when I had 8 6v US quality batteries worth a fortune ! Stuffed in 18 months due to overcharging ! Do it RIGHT or not at all !! Itâs not just the battery . Itâs Whole system !

HI
Correct charging regime is key .
Enough solar
240v charger at least 15 amps plus generator
vehicle charging and donot forget cable size big is best . Booster diode or dc/dc charger if needed .
Saftey/ preventative maintenance
Low volt disconnect
Battery isolator
All batteries will last longer when properly installed with correct system .
