Today we were a bit bored so we went for a drive to see whats happening at greens.
Toilets on the blink again!
Wow! Found this Ikea flat pack shack that was left behind by someone who couldn't put it together.
With help from a handy friend we knocked that shack up in record time!
Now to enjoy a well earned red and watch the beautiful sunset over our camp!
Finished shack with campfire. Ahhhh the serenity!

Hey Happywanderer, there were three groups camped at greens. It was very cold with strong winds blowing across the lake, but it was still beautiful and we had a bit of fun for the day.
Ole Grizzly you are not wrong there. Those ****ters were overflowing in the worst possible way. They had concrete bases. Probably to stop them from being stolen, useful in high winds!
Hey Doug, still house sitting and getting really bored as you can see by our shack building skills. No changes there at the minute except the bins are gone and dunnies were locked. The portables were full.

Hey Mate, stopped at Greens on return from the Lap also. About 6 campers there and the bus. The dump point was ok but toilets locked with temp toilets outside. Nice day but brass monkeys nights.

The toilets have been condemned. They are looking at plans for new ones.
I read it on the news now can't find it again to share it.

Yes I thought so too. Will try and remember where I read it
That's gunna be one helluva amenities block with a budget of $200,000!
I wonder how big the "Donation Box" will be?

Thanks Happywanderer for that.
I had a read of the Stanhope news letters again but could not find anything.
Hey Dick0, You don't get much for that money with Gov authorities. Just have a look at the new toilets in Stanhope. Community wanted to have toilets, shower and dump point. Ended up with a weird unisex toilet and art wall? Think the budget was similar.

I can imagine there will be a fee to stay after a new toilet block is built.
Just hope they add showers.

I thought that the problem with the toilets, was that the water pump at the lake kept blocking up, so no water at the toilets
I think that Greens Lake is a good place to visit, just to meet other Grey Nomad forum members, even without the added attractions of the lake
I would gladly donate, to have a floating water pump inlet pipe on the lake, and a water tower, at the toilets

It's a skip, hop & a jump up the road for me. So agreed it's a great "meet up" spot!
