Looking for excuses to buy or not buy. My in-car GPS is way out of date and will cost $200 for a SD card update.

Hey LLD, I've got this one. https://www.ja-gps.com.au/Garmin/rv-770-lmt-s/
I've been thinking about the camera too. Interested to hear from anyone who has one also.

agree with footprints, I am using the Garmin drive assist with built in dashcam. bought it to reduce clutter as gps and dashcam are both in the same unit. been using it for 2 years now and very happy with it.

Thanks chaps. Reaffirmed my concept that Garmin is the better brand. I have a Garmin ZUMO on my motorbike and had a Garmin for our cars pre free-updates and pre cars coming with built in GPS.
The GPS in one car costs $200 and the other is about $600.
I like the ability to sit down at my PC with the GPS attached and add addresses and plan trips.

Yep the inbuilt navigation can be problematic, brother in law has 2017 bt50 with sat nav built in but he still uses his Garmin. just easier he reckons .

Just travelled with two others. My 2015 Ranger, a 2015 Colorado Ute and a 2018 Land Cruiser. All 3 of us found the inbuilt GPS seriously lacking. The other 2 had Garmins that they used. At one point we were using all 5 GPS (2 garmins, 3 vehicles), wikicamps on an iPad and google maps on an iPad for comparison. Only the 2 Garmins proved to get us where we intended to go.The iPads needed phone reception which was very random.
As a result I decided I need to invest in a Garmin and then seeing the reversing camera option thought I'd get that too. Only got sensors on the Ranger. Ordered them Saturday. On their way today.
Anyone out there with one of these?
