The cost off ebay was about $245 delivered. Used once and it was great although switch seems to be wired wrong (0 is on and | is off!). Very reliable so far with 1 out of 1 success. Actually I figured I could replace it quite a few time and still be under the cost of some of the 'name' brands. Just information for anyone who is interested.
I have had one of that model for about 5 years now. Only moving my Avan Cruiseliner 980 to 1450 Kg's. + or - . My front driveway and apron has a 5 degree compound slope, the mover handles it OK.
Slow and a bit noisy but it has never failed me. I only use it at home and never carry it with me. I would buy another but I would go for a bigger wheel next time.

I have never really tried it on grass only on the hard surface of my Front Drive.
But I would think it would not be much use, even for me on the grass verge.
The Wheel is too small. If my drive is very wet the wheel sometime slips "in places". I stand on the Draw bar to give a bit more traction. I don't think it would work on Grass.
That's why I would go for a bigger wheel.

I thought I would buy a motorised jockey wheel, but opted for an Alko manual ratchet type instead with a very grippy 10 inch tyre. It slips so badly on my sloping soft grass driveway that it is useless for that task. However, the manual wheel has saved me time on several occasions on level hard dirt and concrete surfaces and is easy to operate - no batteries/wires needed. My van is single axle 2.5 tonne. The main problem is that the main wheels sink into the grass and the jockey wheel just turns on the spot. I imagine that a motorised wheel would suffer the same fate.

Thanks Stew, I appreciate your reply. My new van (Camper) is only 1100kg (dry) so I'm hoping I can find something that will move it OK quite easily. Most of the distance I have to move it is either on smooth level concrete or a good level paved area. But.....I do have to manoeuvre for a short distance over a lawned area. If I get into trouble with the jockey wheel at that point I might need some muscle to help me out (and of course spend some time repairing the lawn afterwards). One of my old mates has a manual ratchet type wheel so I might go borrow that and give it a try. Thanks again
