I have to go to Albury for a wedding in the New Year. Taking a Jayco Heritage towed by a Landcruiser Sahara and planning to make it a round trip back to Sydney.
Looking at travelling Albury to Bright then down the Great Alpine Road to Bairnsdale then up the coast back to Sydney staying at Moruya.
Has anyone done it lately?
thanks norm

Norm,we prefer to go over the Omeo Hwy. So much more to see and do.
Stop at Mitta North,if you don't want to free camp go to the Mitta mitta CP
Go to the Mitta Pub,then on to Lightning creek, see the Glen wills cemetery.Yellow Girl Mine, a meal at the Historic Blue Duck Pub so much more etc. etc. a few photos.
The Great Alpine Road is the major highway between NE Victoria and East Gippsland. There a few steep pinches along it but any rig that is not overloaded should handle the road. It is a two lane bitumen road the whole way. Semitrailers use it so if it is OK for them it should be OK for you. If you are not sure of the techniques of using your gearbox (manual or auto) just say so and someone will go through the procedures for you.
