Hello to the brains trust. Ok to start with I thought the water pump was on the blink so replaced it today. Shurflo to Seaflow, same idea just that seaflow is quiter. Well problem didn't resolve itself and I fear the hot water system may be on the way out. it won't prime fully and keeps blowing air out of the taps......and hot water comes out of the cold taps!! Any ideas.
regards Stretch
I did some more testing /fault finding late yesterday and I don't think it is the hot water system. I isolated it and the pump still wont stop running or pressurize the water system. Just seems to pump in lots of air. Could there be a failure some other part/valve etc. The pressure of the air stays all night without the pump on so it is not leaking if it is airtight.

You have an air leak in a pipe between the tank and the pump.

Sorted, new pump inlet tail and nut slightly different to old one. Changed it and the hose and now working as it should. Cheers for the tip Pete.
