Did you get a good shot with the caravan park in it? There is a bit of it in photo 3. . It would be nice to get a full picture of it posted in the thread.

Hi there Peter ..
Unfortunately this was just a "trial run" and I wasn't specifically videoing anything in particular. I will however, do a special "run" which I hope to put up in Vimeo. Still shots from that I will post here for the benefit of others ..
Very windy/gusty around here at the moment .. but we do have still days and I'll post some stills.
Good to catch up with you again Peter !
cheers
Jon

I was down at the river yesterday for a look-see .. very little flow and very silted up. Occasionally water is released near Boomi, but currently there is nil available to release.
We have had about 6 mls of rain here in the last 6 weeks and a temperature forecast maximum of 35 C today. That will also make it 4 weeks with temps reaching 35 or over ..
cheers

Thanks for that. For those not in the know, the CP is the white gravel patch with the red roof amenities block in it. The Google street view shot of it is a bit ancient. We had a few good nights stay there s few years ago.
Is the shop still operating? I heard it had closed some time after we were there.

.. It's still operating Peter .. struggling, but still going ! I think lack of appropriate "management" was the issue and standards weren't maintained. Recent administration is trying to get things back on track .. the Spa bath and the Cold pool have also had extensive renovations underground .. hopefully now things do get back into some resemblance of its former self.

Tks, the shop commenced as a community operation. That sort of thing often struggles. There is a bit about it on the bottom of this page - Boomi Tourism and Information
.. it doesn't matter where you might live .. just enjoy being alive ! A few happy-snaps from my drone!
