The question is: When parked up at home, is it best to have it running or switched off with the doors open.
I look forward to your advise.
Regards.
Hetho.

I have mine switched off with the door open, when parked up
If I have been parked up for more than a month or so, I will run it for a few hours

It can sit for years not running without detriment. That is what happens to all new ones.
Keeping the door open is protection against mould and the like which could be a result of non perfect interior cleaning.
Cheers,
Peter

Just as a bit of humour, Quite a few years ago I used to be in removals.
A very dear little old lady asked what was best for her fridge.
Switch off or keep running till we came to move her stuff. It was only across town so same day. We told her to do whichever suited her.
If she wanted to clean it out switch it off and leave the door open when she finished to stop mould.
Told her she could also sprinkle in Instant coffee in small open cardboard cartons as it draws in any moisture.
Day of the move we got around to the fridge and bless her soul we found lots of teabags tied to the grilles inside the fridge. She told us she forgot if it was tea or coffee to use.
FYI the coffee thing is true it draws in moisture and helps against any mould and musty smells.

Salt does the same thing, but these days there are so many cheap moisture absorbing "devices" available at the supermarkets etc. that you may as well use them and ditch when required.

Bulk packs of the absorption flakes can be bought from Bunnings etc, we empty the water slush out and refill the flakes compartment on the top layer and reuse them until they get too ratty looking. We put one in each cupboard to keep the mildew to a minimum but use baking soda in a bowl in the fridge and freezer. Helps keep the smell to minimum as well.
