Recently did a six week trip from Melbourne to the Flinders Ranges. We stayed ten nights at Rawnsley Park Station near Wilpena Pound.

Nice pics. Its also my buck list. At the last caravan show they gave me a list with 32+ properties to visit up there to stay and do 4x4 tracks. How do you know which ones are the best ones to vist?

We stayed on a powered site at Rawnsley Park Station, a great place close to everything, $200 for 10 nights (travel auction) usually $350 for 10 nights.
RPS give you some great info regarding walks & scenic drives.
Also download maps/info from SA National Parks website.
To get a real appreciation of the area you need to do around 4-5 scenic drives (4x4 recommended), we did around 400kms, our car is full of DUST!
We did a fair bit of bushwalking too.
It was well worth the effort.
Here's a few more photos, we specialize in birds.
