How was the road from Newman to Marble Bar, corrugated, potholes, etc?
How kilometres of gravel these days?
Hope to pass through Newman next month, on way to Port Hedland and north
Opps forgot to mention, that is a good way to get a free beer, even if the first one was expensive
And thanks in advance for your information

Hi Tony,
My post heading should have read Newman to Hedland to Marble Bar, we went via the blacktop, hence the pic of a Tugboat.
A couple of days in Marble Bar, mainly coz we hadn't been before, but have found from locals and others that you can come in from Auski roadhouse with 65 k of sealed and about the same unsealed, OK for a van if you take it easy. Newman to Marble is a lot longer and rougher apparently.
Cheers Bob

Thanks for that info Bob, it was appreciated
I shall probably make enquiries at the Auski roadhouse, about the road conditions
Nice photos,brings back good memories.
