G'day Mezza, I got a 30" Smart TV last year for my aluminium teepee but had to settle for 240v as couldn't find a 12v one. I just run it through a 300w Inverter. I don't watch a lot of TV as such but do watch catch up TV and Netflix. I can do that at anytime.
I know this sounds silly but I also watch a lot of those things on my iPhone.

another option , I just use one of these www.vodafone.com.au/search#?cludoquery=tv&cludopage=1&cludorefurl=https:%2F%2Fwww.vodafone.com.au%2F&cludorefpt=Mobile%20Phones,%20Tablets,%20Broadband%20Plans%20%7C%20Vodafone%20Australia
Don't have to be a vodaphone customer just buy online . they are not locked to vodaphone in any way.very simple to use .
