I suggest that you try testing your 12volt element that may be your problem

From memory, the resistance of the 12V element should be 0.5 to 1.0 Ohms, which is quite low. If you don't get resistances of this order, the element is probably burnt out or a wire has fallen off.

Hi, If the fridge you have is an AES model (model number would help us) you need to check if there is 12 volts present on the D+ Terminal. An AES fridge will not switch to 12 volt operation until there is 12 volts on that terminal.

Its not efficient on 12v anyway . Yes handy to have as stop gap between gas , 240v. As said element, connections . Best thing I did was replace with 12v compressor fridge .

Good Luck.
Some good advice there.
Hako's youtube is real good for us layman that like to fiddle.
Our 3 way works fine for our travels and would have another kne when the time comes.
