As my van didn't have a break-away unit fitted (just under the 2000kg GTM requirement), I bought a break_away kit with intentions of installing it "soon".
Long story, cut short. Somewhere along the path, I may have connected the battery leads in reverse. It doesn't work. Pin out, brakes are on - good; Pin in, brakes are still on! Of the three LEDS visible, the only one that comes on is the yellow "charging" one.
Does anyone know where I can get the circuit (not wiring) diagram? I can if I get desperate, buy a new cover complete with the board but I'd prefer to repair the one I have.

G'day Warren,
I would firstly take a good look at the "pin" which is only a switch held open by the pin. The pins are the weakest part of the circuit and often are a once only use and then they fall apart and wont let the brakes off. If that is why you think it is not working See how you go after checking the switch is operating.

As I said this was a long story cut short. I never got the system to work - it's one of the jobs I had lined up when we came to Toowoomba, but a major health issue cut that short. I've had some time on my hands the last few days & thought I'd have another look.
I've done some playing with the pin & ascertained that it works - pin out ie the operated position, the switch is a short acct. I'm certain the problem is on the cct board, which I why I would like the circuit. I wondered whether anyone knew where to find it.
Perhaps this is a lesson in buying things cheap. I found a post that Dougwe put in a few years ago. His Camec unit has a battery charger built in with a control switch.

If you are lucky you may have just fused some tracks on the circuit board, these are easily repaired using tinned copper wire and a soldering iron. If you do get it repaired install a reverse polarity protection diode into the supply circuit.

The board looks good but I haven't dismantled it yet - another job that I was going to do before my leg said otherwise(grr).
After the slow trip home, I'll get into it & will let you, Frank know the outcome. Heading west tomorrow!
