I have always been curious.
What would be the easiest (less load) on a 5t flat bed truck. To carry a 1t vehicle on the bed or tow a 1t vehicle behind on a trailer. I guess the truckies out there would know?

I would imagine a truckie would put the load on the back and leave the trailer home. Less ware.

On the truck, no contest. I have trailered race cars all over the place and would much prefer a race transporter if I could afford it.

IMO to answer your load question towing would impose less load on the truck than carrying despite other disadvantages.
Would you prefer to lift the load in a wheelbarrow or pull it with a rope in a cart?

The trouble with a motorhome is, you are dragging that 6 or 7 ton with you everywhere.
A caravan can be parked up and release up to 3500kg, horses for courses i guess!

Theft, security is an issue . Leaving valuables behind . A good car trailer! I hardly know mine is hitched .But on the deck is best . A small vehicle loaded in pantec ! Lounge room . Hydraulic lift !! Or am I being too fancy ? Lol get exercise bike , elect bike ?? Bolt an old caravan to deck .

If it weighs 6 or 7T it will be a light truck and have multiple times the useful load of a caravan, so more fuel, more water, more showers, more toys.
