Welcome to GN's John, Water would be the main worry out there owing to the slow movement of water from the Channel Country.

In early Sept I towed an off-road hybrid on the Cunnamulla - Thargomindah - Noccundra - Cameron's Corner - Tibooburra - Broken Hill route. Bitumen to Noccundra, then dirt to Tibooburra, then bitumen to BH. The bitumen from Thargo to Noccundra was narrow and a bit average, but ok. The dirt was no real issue, and some sections must have been recently graded as they were excellent. The last 50kms to the corner was a dirt highway, and ditto for most of the road to Tibooburra. The bitumen to BH was generally excellent. I got the sense that it hadn't been sealed all that long ago.
But I'm sure I've read that it has been wet out there since then, as I think I read that Thargo had been isolated by flood water. Also the supermarket burned down. Could well be quite different now.
The campsite at Noccundra is worth a stop. If the pub is cooking (doesn't happen every night and perhaps even less so this time of year), they put on a mean feed. But note that there's no phone signal between Thargo and Tibooburra. There is wi-fi at the Corner for customers and some sort of wi-fi was in the process of being installed at Noccundra when we where there, but not sure of access details.

You're welcome. The dirt section is varied. Some sections were some of the harshest country I think I've been through, almost a moonscape, despite the wet year, but most of it was better than that. Take a fly net for the area around the Corner.
We stopped for a night at Noccundra by the waterhole, and thought about stopping overnight at the Corner because of its iconic status, but thought better of it. Not very appealing and the generator runs a lot apparently. Instead we stayed at Fort Grey in Sturt National Park (NSW).
