Ok, blokes probably dont know this, wives and partners probably do. I split my thumb nail pulling down knots, pain and blood. A dob of superglue on the split, press it together with a narrow edge, let it cure and file off the jagged edges. No pain, it doesnt catch.

I buy superglue and then when needed I can never find it, I think it ends up in the Tupperware lid and odd sock heaven.
Good idea though.

My wife had a radical hysterectomy two weeks ago by laparoscopic method.
They fill the entry wounds with a product called Dermabond. Aka medical superglue. Apparently you can buy it over the counter.

I take Swisse Hair, Skin & Nails - apparently the Zinc helps with split nails.
