Using generators

I have been told by various people that some national parks around the country, either have a ban on the use of generators or the use of is restricted by nose level.
If anyone knows of a site/s where I can find out any information regarding the use of ,please let me know.

I need the information to help decide which generator to buy.

Cheers

In our experience, some national parks divide their camping grounds into two sections - one side which allows generators and the other which doesn't.  We never noticed any restrictions on the noise levels of generators - just that they were allowed or not.
You might try emailing the national parks departments in each state to ask the question -- perhaps their policies have changed.
