roadhouses

After we travelled around this amazing country of ours I need some info on a roadhouse that we didnt stop at Nundroo west of ceduna. Just some thoughts from anyone who stayed there what it is like hopefully not like a roadhouse that I think is now closed and was nearby where everywhere we went were warned not to stay. There is a reason for this not for my next trip but for my daughter who wants to apply for a job and work there and I am no help whatsoever because I cant even remember what it looked like when we passed by I have stayed at some brilliant roadhouses around Aus but also some not so good ones as well so would like to give her some info that would help

We stayed overnight in the caravan park attached to Nundroo last week.

The roadhouse has a sign saying under new ownership by Owner/Manager. Some refurbishing appears to be going on. The people seemed OK.

Thanks for that info I was a bit worried about sending her into the unknown I know there was always a lot of trouble at Yalata (not far from Nundroo) and everywhere we went were advised not to stay there but I think it has closed  Havn't been on the nullabor for 4 years so not sure. Streaky Bay is as far as we get lately. Cheryl

So true I have been in love with Streaky Bay since the first visit in 2003 and have been back 7 times since we loved it so much we are building there in the new estate out past the caravan park I think its nearly finished. If anyone is cruising by that way they could check on the progress and post it on here. Its cream brick blue roof. will be taking the camper and going over for a month when its ready cant wait We can't keep an eye on it we are 1700k away but will be living in it in couple of years for now someone else will be waking up looking at that great view.Cheryl
