Combo Waterhole

Does anyone know, from experience, if the dirt road into the Combo Waterhole from the Landsborough Highway is suitable for towing a caravan as I would like to go visit it en-route. I am driving a Pathfinder, towing a 17ft Freedom but don't want to do any rough 'off road' driving, good dirt road no problem. Many Thanks for any advice.

Cheers

Carolyn

If it's not wet then you'll have no problems , not suppose to camp but people do, I have no issues with that either, go for it;

G'day ...

Many years ago we overnighted at the nearby Kynuna. In those days the now deceased Richard Magoffin OAM, had a great 'Waltzing Matilda' show there. He gave us free access to a paddock across the road from his show that lead via a short track thru the grass to a couple of delightful waterholes. We easily pulled our 21'6" Jayco to it. In fact it was directly behind the servo on the top of the hill. We were able to stroll to his evening show & the famous Blue Heeler pub.
I don't know if it is acessable these days but it was a memorable stop over.

At the time the dirt road to the Combo waterhole was good dirt with no van problems but I agree with the previous comments about wet weather caution.

cheers .. Cupie
