Now Mon it is merely an observation that they are both absent together, I did not mean they are absent "TOGETHER" I hope ashely has her new van and is out enjoying it and basil has grabbed gracie and swmbo and taken off somewhere quiet and peacefull in the gin palace, and well deserved it would be as well

ah!! Hah!! now I had to learn all this and it took me ages, I would read it somewhere and then spend half an hour trolling through web pages trying to find out what it meant, it comes from the texting shorcuts of the inspeakables, and means "she who must be obeyed", the saying came originally from rumpole of the bailey, a tv program that ran for quite a few years

Hey ! Where is my Vietnam Buddy Basil ?

Hey Griz. I've given up asking where my Vietnam buddies are, the last time I asked that I was told by fellows that followed me in to the farm that I was the last one left on my year at age 62 it gives you that eerie feeling . There are still two left behind that we may never recover but that's life when you play on the edge.

As they say in my circle if you aren't living on the edge you are taking up to much space

Hey Wombat

Two points (from twobob)

I was also wondering about the dictionary (said in the most respectful terms). Miss his enlightning additions to any subject. Suspect the new gin place, is getting low on gin, and he will be back soon.

As for being on the edge. I believe ALL GN ARE running on the edge, just as they did before. We have issue, knowledge, and expections, gained from life so far. We have not taken the easy road of the armchair and soft habitat. Facing life (at this end) and asking it to "bring it on". Maybe instead of the toes OVER the edge, we are mindful of our balance, and want to last there as long as possible.

Guys please, enough of the speculation.... Ok the facts Ashely & I have eloped and are hiding in Brazil with a band of Neo Nazis......Ok would you believe that I don't have a clue where Ashe is but I know where I am. I'm stuck at Tathra with a blown up Jackeroo and a Gin Palace and no internet.....
No one seems to know why the Jack won't go but quotes for repair have me seriously looking at a new vehicle if I can get the Jack home.

So now my moral dilemmma is do I trade in as is without telling the dealer that it is jerry rigged on a new car or do I fess up? To expensive to repair new EMS is "around" $10000 trade in value around $10000 - $12000...
Looking at a Sorento, more grunt than the Jack, Korean price and 5 year unlimited KM warranty.....

Yeah..... well these car sales people are the absolute most sleazy types you could believe. Now as a TPI Gold card holder I am entitled to GST and Stamp duty exemption so I negotiated a change over figure today with my local Kia  Dealer then he is organising rego etc and I then told him about the exemptions with the full knowledge that had I told him earlier he would have factored that into his equation..... He went of the deep end when I told him but the the stamp duty and GST have no bearing on the price of the car....

stuff him and just go with it, they couldnt care less about you or anyone else, thumb your nose at him and just smile if he goes off, it annoys the hell out of them, if that fails get the missus to start calling him love or dear, that always works

Oh Dave a brilliant Idea.... SWMBO did her Hyacinth Bucket impersonation during a test drive, that sent the PFT into a tedious monologue....
