MENS HEALTH, I believe we should be open and upfront about this, how's everyone about it?

November is PROSTATE CANCER awareness month ( Mowvember) those of you without moustaches are encouraged to grow one (No not the ladies, only the blokes) in support of "prostate awareness".....
I don't have one now that is of any real use to do what it is supposed to do but hey I'm alive and I can still run nude on cable beach for 5 metres and enjoy my dotage in relative cumfort...
Anyone want me to describe cystology, or biopsies or any of that stuff, it made me wish I was female.....

Trouble is us blokes generally don't want to know, we take the ostrich approach which only leads us into deeper hotter water. Get Ya PSA, HBA1C, Glucose and Blood pressure checked regularly, though it won't stop you getting cancer if you get onto it early enough you can still live to do the Hugh Heffner thing....
I'm off to find a Bunny now....

Prostrate and its problems
It is known, when reaching age 50, this little bugger starts to act up. Must be tired or overworked, whatever - DO NOT STUFF ABOUT.

I had a run in about twelve months ago with it, got the enlarged version. I could tear down a brick wall, bare handed, just having a #1.

There is plenty of info out there, and common drugs (that are herbal derived) for prevention - ie Prostico. Even if nothing is apparent now, over 50, start taking something, and talk about it - you will be surprised to find out how many of us have a "little problem with the water works"

I am short of time at the moment, but I will post my solution to this later, but this is important - blokes, help out yourself and your prostate, by taliking about it.

I am back, with time for this important topic

This may be long, as I will tell you about my bout with the wee (small) gland. Mine was an enlarge unit, not cancer, but cancer is the next stage, if not treated.

I know now, but was not obvious then, that my #1, was not good, but the change occurred so slowly, that it was undetectable. A #1 was not the satisfying event of my youth. I could not right my name on the unrinal wall. Still felt like it could do with a little more time to complete, but it was finished. Nightly visits to the little house happened, slowly, and did not realise this was a change.

I ended up in right royal pain, tear the walls down type stuff, and this happen quite quickly. As I am one to read up, research things, I started to study the problem. I am not going into detail of what or where it is, but simply it has a major say in what come out the spout.

Western medicine, have things for the problem, unfortunately, I am herbal. I found that most of the basic Western uses the prime herbal treatment "Saw Palmetto" with others. I took the true herbal treatment, and the swelling reduced, slowly, but enough to save my now depleted toilet wall. I now take these every week (for life) as I do not want to revisted (or re repair that wall)

I also found that the "little un" was not as active as in the past. Mostly I noticed he would sleep in, and not be ready to rise in the morning (you know what i mean). Further research found a herbal product, that correct that situation. It is a commercial product, so I do not add its name. PM me for that. It helps greatly with the Prostate (with a bonus)

I will add. and make it clear, herbal is not for everyone, and herbs work differently on different people (so do western). It worked for me. What ever your view, if you have any problem with the water works, spend the time and get it checked. If you are over 50yo, and do not have a problem, start looking for some support for it. Me I would head to a health food shop.

Lastly - you can help yourself, by taking "probiotics" (good ones), as everything you take (or eat) requires these, and they are also reduced from age 45yo (both sex's), and further reduced by western medicines and way of life. They will help, what ever treatment you use.

Thanks Basil for make all of us, TAGHL (take a good hard look) at ourselves. Make the GN experience as best you can and a healthy one.

Gary a word of warning , while the PSA test is an indicator with a high miss rate in the early stages , most medico's still advise the old grab your knees and bend over . Uncomfortable but more accurate . Just make sure he only has one hand on your shoulder while making the insertion

Dave, errr Sir Dave
That was a good reply, had me laughing. Reminded me of a "Billy Connerly" sketch, from "errect for 30 years".

In the sketch he relates the proceedure, and finishes with "I now send him flowers, with a card "missing you" written on it.
