Granny's Pic

I've been trying to set a photo with my signature, so this is another attempt. Please forgive me if it looks looks like self indulgence, to raise my profile.  Here I go.   confuse
OK that didn't work.  How do I get it into the Post title column?

You need to click on user details then click avatar then you have the option to choose an avatar or download an avatar from your own personal collection.
Hope this helps. Roostertales is having the same problem in the general forum.

It didn't work that way. I tried it 3 different ways, and still no "granny pic".
Is it a secret society who are the only ones who can add their pic to the profile? I can put it on the post side, but not on the profile side. Anymore clues to this puzzle?

I am only guessing now but may be it has something to do with the size of the pic

have you tried to use one of the cartoon ones that you can choose from just until it can be figured out.

OK, so I succeeded uploading 'a' pic, but not 'the' picture I'd prefer. Photos are automatically resized the instructions say, and there is my photo in there somewhere, but not the one I want, where I want it.
Any more ideas fellow nomads?

hi christine, dont tell anyone I'm in here, if you choose the pic you want and save it to your desktop it will be easier to find and upload from there, let me know how you get on, love the way this section is idling along too by the way

Is your pic sitting in your custom library of avatars cruisin granny?
If so click on it . It will have a blue square around it
Then click on select avatar and it should automatically appear.

That's why I've got ET for mine.  I just could not do it.  I think there are some things I'll never get the hang of with computers.
Cheers,
xina.

Tried that too. I can upload the photo but it doesn't come up on the profile avatar, it attaches itself to the post, and there is nothing on the screen to tell me where or how I can save it if I use my own pic. The program automatically resizes the photo so size isn't a problem, - in this case. This is the most frustrating thing I've had to deal with. bloody technology! A wonderful thing - when it works.

Thank you Pam.
Yee hah! Success at last!
The instructions really helped, obviously because it's on there now.
It didn't quite go according to plan, but I got there.
She's a beauty!   I'm very proud of her.  She's on the spare wheel covers on the Landy and the van. Watch out for us, we could be in your neighbourhood any time, so keep the kettle hot, or the grog cold.
Cheers Granny    biggrin

Now that's nice!! I'll have to see about putting something more suitable on mine instead of Garfield. He's there by default, because I didn't know how to do it either, and also because we are about the same shape, both love lasagne and have Catitfude!!
