Make sure the NSWNP, Dark Greens and NPA don't get a look at this black snake making a meal of the brown otherwise we will be looking down the barrel of a very expensive and drawn out tax payer funded research project to development an intervention program. The catchcry would certainly focus on 'WE must protect the Brown snake from the Black" . It 's the type of crap the NPA thrives on and we will end up with more lock outs and protection zones in case we tax payers should wander upon such carnage and be scared for life .
For those who think I'm having a go at NPA for the pure fun of it , which it is , just get onto the NPA site and read the policy crap they come up with. To make things worse the government actively seeks advice from such hair brains. , Judge for yourselves where the pollies get their so called inspirational thoughts from and see how minority groups get a loins share of the say on government policy some governemnt policy is near on word verbatim . If their views weren't so one eyed it would be poetry in motion
OH GOD WOMBAT... I want to remain positve this year.... As a snyde gybe on similar lines the NSW NP&WS has the CSIRO working on an anti venom for the MALE platypus that has piosonous spurs on it's hind legs, they have spent MILLIONS on this little known research..... It's not as if the Platypus is an agressive animal (actually they are in plague proportions in the Murrumbidgee according to some KIA ( know it all) in the Canberra times). But I guess if you had one as a pet and there must be at least 10 as pets in NSW then this anti Venom stuff may be necessary..... To me the solution is simple; ban them as pets and issue a Workplace Safety Directive requiring that all male platypus handlers (or should I say handlers of male platypus before you all have a snyde Gybe at my grammar LOL) wear suitable protective dress.... The things they dream up to waste taxpayers money on.....

yep mine did too, horrible old bag she was, she used to let the air out of her wheelchair tyres so I would have to pump them up before I went to school, she lost the lower half of her leg to sugar diabetes and blaimed her daughter (my mother) for it

Sorry mate I was looking forward to having positive outlook for 2009, but when working with turkeys for so long it's hard to soar like an eagle . As for wasted money on research projects a look into the CSIRO and Universities around Australian at the research grants and you will be amazed at the dollars available for some half wits pet project , I call them professional students, never had a real job after graduation.
