Camp Site

G'Day all.
No takers on a free camp site at Mission Beach, Can't be any one on the road up this way, oh well, I'm soon on my way to Victoria and there will be no one here, so if you want to take me up on the offer call me before I leave.
Stay as long as you like, just mow the lawn there is room for around six vans or campers, it's only a short drive to a new Woolorths supermarket and beaches.
when you call I'll let you know where the key is for the mower, you will need a power lead or I can leave one here.

Phone Jim on 07 40688666 or 0428738666

Shame this wasn't about 12 months down the track.  It'll take at least that long for me to get on the road permanently.  Sounds great.
Cheers,
xna.

Hey Dave! how ya doin?

Mowing the lawn's not that bad, got a ride on to do it with what more would they want?
I thought I would have a mob here by now just for the mudcrabs and fish, not to mention the tropical fruit and a nice rain forest to live in.
I guess I'll have to pay to have the grass mowed.

G'day RR

Probably like everyone else I thought you would have been trampled in the stampede. We will be up your way in July/August so will be sure to give you a call if the offer still stands at that time.
We leave TAS early May and will meander up with a few stops.

Cheers

Lynds

Hey Lynds!

No problemo's.
Talking about Meander, did you visit Meander in Tassy? I once lived there for a few years, but the cold got to me.
Bet you fell in love with the place.

Mate,

I spent many cold hours, sometimes days, there and thereabouts. I was in Police search and rescue for 20 years and had many operations in that area of Meander Falls, Huntsman and Split Rock. Camped there when we did an exercise canyoning from Lake McKenzie to Devils Gullet. Very friendly locals who enjoyed our stay, checking out our gear.

O.K. I also done a bit of search work around the place, remember when the vet went missing on the east coast? we camped at the pub in the paddock and I flew around with a spotter for a couple of days, you blokes must have found him.

My place was the two story stone place with the air strip on the left just before the Jackeys Marsh turn off half a klm before the Meander P.O.

I'm going to Mildura for a while then maybe to en zed to have a look at a plane, I'm sick of the rain up here so goin south to suck in some dust and smoke for a change
I just need to get Dave to mow the lawn.

its been such a long drought that I doubt very much that I would recognise a lawn, ours is a dustbowl, the spoggys are just digging themselves dustholes everywhere
