Hey! Guess what...?

Freddo here,
We have been keeping up with your forum for awhile, hoping, wishing that our day will come soon ..that our dream to roam our fantastic country is not too far away.
Guess what..our house has sold...and our van is being built...see you on the road very shortly.
Be prepared...we need all the help we can get!!
Scary, but exciting.
Cheers
The Freddos

G'day Freddo, all i can say is take your time & dont rush any of it. When you find something you like, dont rush just enjoy. Nothing worse than looking back & saying i should have stayed longer CHEERS.

well who's a happy chook now then freddo, as chalky states, time is no longer your enemy, sit a spell, kick your shoes off, life begins, just one point though this is not "our" forum, it is "your "forum,

if you travel (male or female) and have a little age (doesnt matter how much) under your belt then you are "a grey nomad" and as such are more than welcome here

we will be present in one form or another for a long time yet and as such will be able to answer your questions, sometimes we dont know the right one's but we'll give you an answer anyway, the names will change but the knowledge will remain

just before I nick off, I got a couple of questions for you

(1) whats the van,

(2) what are you towing it with,

(3) wheres the first port of call,

(4) are you heading straight out to "do the loop" or just no plans and head where its warm and green

anyway, well done and I wish you all the great times and good fortune in the world

Thanks Davo,
Our van will be a 21 foot Vanguard, we have a Nissan Patrol Diesel Turbo,

First port of call is popping in on the grandkids on our way to Mildura, then off to SA some where and then back to Vic for Xmas.
Thought we'd do a short loop to get used to the van, towing etc.,
Then possible head north early 2010.

Hardest decision each day will be what colour undies to wear...if any!!

Cheers,

The Freddos

ohhh!! it's a difficult life on the road mate, left or right, should we travel today or stay by this glorious river another couple of days she's a hard life, 21 foot is a good size for longish term!

sounds like you've got a little bit planned out there, should be good, it wont take long to get used to the van once you remember that the big round black things under the van are meant to stay on the bottom!!
