Lightining Ridge

We are in the ridge staying at Lorne Station, $18pn powered, $12 unpowered.
Managers are really nice and very helpful.
Showers, toilet and bush kitchen, there is a large fire ring with wood provided, a dam to go yabbing and Chris(manager) does a hour and a half walk three nights a week.
She spent 12 years on the road and has a wealth of information on free camps heading north from here.

There was a whirlie wind come thru the station late afternnoon yesterday and we had the awning down but not tethered and I thought Kerry was doing a flying nun act. She was trying to hold it down and her feet ware about an inch of the ground. Bent one of the stays and now won't lock in properly when wound in.
One of the station hands is going to give me a hand today and see if we can at least get it to lock properly.

here 2 more nights then heading off to St george, we were debating if we should go to Brisbane for a couple of days to see kerry's mum as she is not very well, this might have made up our mind.

Nice spot St George, make sure you see the carved Emu eggs and drive out to the Aviary where the guy keeps the endangered Aussie parrots....
