absolutely nothing it is all already there, they come with a 12 volt and a 240 v lead, if you wait till they come out on special you will get the insulation cover and the "snap lock" containers as well as a little "can" inverter, about $1200 will buy it

the only decision that you have to make is size, we found that the 40 ltr was the go for two for an extended getaway we have taken ours everywhere and use it all the time, I cant recommend them highly enough

malcolm douglas uses them as does colonel les hiddens

they can be found here

Just as an alternative, consider the FridgeMate I have one and swear by it and at about 25% cheaper than the Engel or Waeco, I find it better value for money

I use my 60 litre Waeco as my deep freeze. I just love it. It has the cover and is very easy to defrost because the element is in the walls.
There are a couple of 3 way options out there as well.
More choices. Jeez it's hard being a GN. All these decisions one has to make.
What a bonza life! Cheers Granny

Hi.......not sure about Engels...but My 40lt Waeco draws about 1 amp per hour....when your on battery power..the less draw...the longer your battery will last....

We have had our Engel for years too and love it. I even use it at home when we get inundated with the kids and have to feed them.

Thanks for all your reassureance guys & girls , it seems like 2 disicions to make. Size (which the 40 lt looks pretty good at the moment) & the timing of perchase. I was thinking of the caravan show coming up or if any one knows of a sale coming up. Thank you all

last day of the caravan show would be great, particularly in the dying hours (they dont like carting stock home) great bargains to be had, do your homework first on price and go in fully prepared to bargain

Thanks Dave I'll keep that in mind. Knowing prices will be the big key
