A last, all ready for our now shortened trip to the sunny north. HAd intended to be away longer but familly commitments etc has made us about a month late. Travelling by way of Coonabarabran-Goondiwindie- Dalby then to Emerald and home by the east coast, depending on time and which way the wind blows. Taking our new pup, and our new laptop, so hopefully i can still get my dose of the grey nomads forum. Leaving Monday for about 4 weeks. Stay well and hopefully i may see some of you out there.

There's a national park very close to Springsure, not sure what it's called. It's high up providing a great view of the flats towards Emerald, and west to the Snake Ranges. It's a beautiful and interesting area. There is some ancient flora on that mountain. Enjoy the country. Cheers Chris

if you have your pick and shovel with you ,go into Macs Cafe almost to the end of the main street and get a permit to dig for opallised wood, the spot is about 10 Ks on the emerald side of town
