Well to make your day and to send you on your way with a laugh have a sqizz at Gracies "hunting outfit". She looks like something out of "Horse & Hounds". Of course all my fault, SWMBO says to buy her a jacquet as she ate the last one so off we trot to the pet shops to buy her one and none of them fitted so the everhelpfull sales person sends me to the horsey shope at Phillip where Gracie and I are attended to by 2 young horsey type girls who measure Gracie up and carry on like Mr Granger with tape measure around their neck, pad and pencil taking down her stats and then go into the stock of Doggy attire and come up with this little number. I guess it is warm but wonder what the other dogs will think at the Dog Park......I think she looks like Thomas the Tank Engine in the head on shot! Anyone know where I can get a set of hunting pinks, a pony and a hunting horn?

hi basil. she looks beautiful, and the apple of your eye. i dont think its just a whinge about the weather, i think most aussies are pretty good whingers ( younger generation ) we have spoilt our young people.
Gee Basil Gracie looks very sophisticated in the new gear. Our dog who is not a big fan of winter has her sheepskin lined dry -as -a -bone. And now my husband has got her some boots she has feet issues always swelling and she had a tumour removed and now she has her bright blue and white boots its a bit of a scream when she is walking in them. cheryl

What a bueatiful coat, and it fits well, thanks for the tip mate about the horsey shop We had our first frost this morn and at zero degrres Tisha was feeling it, so had to walk very quick, gave her a cuddle before turning back to home and she was warmer that I was but will get a coat for her, ,
We whinge about the weather because it's tradition. Our culture is based on numerous cultures from numerous climates. These cultures have various industrial backgrounds, building is one and farming is another. These industries and many others depend on the weather, so we whinge about the weather when it's not dong what we need it to do to succeed.
I love the way pet owners love their pets as children. It's a wonderful reflection of the person who owns the dog, cat or horse. TLC by the bucket full. I'm not sure the animal is always as happy about it as the proud owner, however, they seem to put up with it. Maybe even eventually appreciating the TLC in coat form.
It's getting "cold" in Cairns, 17 overnight, and 26 during the day. My bones are coping though. I'm glad I'm not in the frost or snow country, although it looks beautiful from here. It's winter after all. Cheers Chris
