Well we are back home after our trip that took us as far as Winton.Mind boggling would be a good way to describe Australia and its vastness. We used Camps 5 to our full advantage. We started off from North Arm Cove NSW thence to Northaven,Grafton and then inland.Originally our plan was to go down south to Victoria and South Australia, but Sylvias bout of Dengue fever made going to the cold out of the question(Pain in the joints etc).So we pointed the Ford North. The Penguin was ideal and trouble free,a couple of things need to be addedi.e extra battery and external light. We took far to many clothes and shoes but it was a learning trip. Our next wander off will be in late August, cant wait for that to happen.Almost without exception did our wave at fellow travellers not go without a response.Out west road trains were no problem,it seemed as though a mutual respect was shown by most drivers and ourselves, road kill was evident and sometimes a need for caution to avoid running over it.Emus on the road were a lesson in patience, bloody stupid staring birds sometimes would not move, crows,Eagles sure had their meals laid on for them. The camp sites that were near water all had signage in multiple language warning of Crockodiles. It really did not bother us but the comments from some of the back packers were interesting. As Imentioned in my title without sounding as though I want to be Daves best matelol.his comments and thoughts about Nomading were an inspiration to us.I hope he will be back on the Forum before long.Thats about it from me.May you all have many Happy Happy hours and have safe journeys.Cheers Ibbo,Sylvia, and Wally(Staffie and co driver).
