Many thanks to all for advice regarding a tow vehicle. Finally settled on one, a 2005 Series 100 diesel manual (4 Door) Landcruiser. The deciding factor(s) was that it came with Factory Bull Bar, Water Tank, Cargo Barrier and built in drawers and cupboards. It's an ex rental and a bit long in the Kms however a 3 hour independant inspection showed it to be a good buy at a price we can afford. As we are not departing on the first big trip until Jan 2010 we can spend time improving the small things. Price was also a factor.........superanuation does not make life easy. Once again from herself (SWMBO'd) and myself thanks for the advice and guidance.
yes i think you have made a wise choice. does it come with any warranty,if so, have a quick week-end trip,to see if there is anything major wrong with it. ( strike while the irons hot ) then back to see if they will honor there warranty. i hope you have a good run with it.
not a worry mate, anytime, just check the log book to see if all maintenance has been carried out and is up to date, if so hook up, chuck the missus in and GET OUT OF THERE!!
you wont have a worry in the world with her, she's a "TOYOTA"
I've said it a million times before, we are all on a "budget", break open the old "piggy" and take a trip, long or short it makes no difference just get out and amongst it
normally ex rentals are well serviced as it is in their best interest to have reliable vehicles in the fleet
You done good. All the best, and if your Toyota looks after you as well as Rosy has looked after me you'll be a very happy chappy, and her indoors. Safe and happy times. Cheers Chris

We plan on leaving Perth in Jan 2010 and want to be at Pandanus Park by late July early Aug. After that, which ever way the map points when we decide to move, is the direction we go.
