Just tried that new "Vegemite".  

Thankgoodness I only bought a small jar.  Now  the company that makes Vege is a USA owned company and the fact that the Yanks can't stand "OUR" Vegemite, they've sabotaged it and done some thing awful to it.

I'll stick with the "rosy cheecks" stuff thanks.

Hi, was wondering what it tastes like; will we still be able to buy the "normal" .? If not then I will have to start weaning myself off - and after 60 + years of loving the stuff on my toast, I might have to give it up!!!!!   Bl....y yanks!!!

Yes Dave that is the one.  Can think of some names for it but not suitable to print here.

Rob, we should be grateful that it doesn't break the bank to buy it here (the riggy dig stuff that is).  In USA a 400g jar costs AU$16.70

yep leave the naughty names up to me, i got's lot's

dont like it much but then as soon as they bought the company they changed the ingredients of the original as well, the "new" stuff rips the toast and bread apart as I try to spread it, too stiff, dont know what they are doing they are killing an icon, confuses me no end

A former colleague, American, once told me that Vegemite had a taste "only an Australian could like." Mind you, he was gay.
