whoopee summer coming

we got to the magic 31 today, time to slow down and start getting ready for the wet, although by all accounts its going to be a EL NINO effect again ,---dry as a desert,
Tisha had her first encounter with a snake, christ she can move quick??
Losing too much sweat down the mine, lucky to have had a 150 caret this year, maybe the big one for next year,
Slowing down and thinking of the big lockup
So as the Daydreamer is not ready I am starting to get the old Golf van ready for the road, checking from the rubber to the roof,
its still too bloody cold down the south so will be travvelling really slow, leaving here on the 10 th oct for the cherry picking, tween then and now got a lot to do,
Cherry pickers are needed in Young  contact any orchard in area
Then we spend summer in the mountains,
lookout trout in the dartmouth dam, here I come

Who ran fast? The snake or Judy?
Now for the tricky question - what sort of snake was it?
No, I don't mean long, slippery and slithering, I mean was it a brown, taipan, red belly black dugite, or a python?

omfg.gif What on earth happened there Mike, and where were the boys with the shooters?

If the weather South of Geraldton doesn't start to get warmer after September, we will start heading back East to base frustrated.gif

This teevee.gif is not the way to do the big 360, so idea.gif we would rather return to base and add/modify the bus, in readiness for the Southern summer leg.

Perth has certainly had a miserable winter this year, OK if you are an Eskimo, I haven't been really warm for ages.

chew.gif We were very much looking forward to visiting Perth John, and also meeting up with old friends of ours from Kenya and South Africa, who live near and around the city.

But it is beginning to look like my Queen and I will have to give it a miss this time around, as we are very lacking in Eskimo genes.crying.gif

Hello Chris, in answer to your ambigous question, it was a little brown sunning itself, so it was a little slow and that was made the dog seem so quick, and it was me walking the dog,
I commend you for thinking as you did, thank you???
Dave , will be leaving here in about 8 weeks ,you and Jenny are more than welcome anytime you want to stop
Some mongrels got into a shack out in the bush at Reward, they ruined it ,broke windows, punched holes in the water tank and generally made a bloody bad expensive mess to clean up for the owners,
If they try it here they are in for a shock, my permanent neighbour has a blue heeler that would rip em to bits if told to, and as we live in a cul-de-sac they have nowhere to go
Seems the bad eggs have got out of the cities this far

Too late Basil, I just can't get the smile of my dial. My imagination is in overdrive and the laughter rate is off the Richter Scale.
Feel sorry for Gracie really.

I don't know what you eskimos down south are talking about.
It's balmy and warm up here in Cairns. Great for getting my daily dose of Vitamin D.

Yes, with my clothes on Basil. No comment about the "hairstyle". Cheers Chris

Granny one observation I did make about the beaches up that way is that a) they are all not much as beaches go and b) (2 observations) everyone who is on them must be on welfare and can't afford appropriate swimwear.

That's really unfortunate I am sure you would like the Perth area but one can't argue with mother nature.  We are heading for Adelaide on the 22 this month, I just hope the Nullabor is kind and not too windy.

Have been to both Kenya and South Africa, was raised in Zimbabwe and all three countries have beautiful and very unique landscapes.
Safe travelling to you both.
John

True Dellie, the same used to happen here,
We have Zero police presence, but the bestest neighbourhood watch, and a very tight little community, very aware of outsiders

Hi guys.
Still learning this thing, but I'm winning!! As if the floods wern't enough for the locals to cope with out on the fields!!! Where is the old standard of "if the bucket is upside down in the hole ....leave it alone". You know that standard still exists out at the zircon fields at Gemtree, east of Alice Springs.   Left a bucket upside down in the hole I'd been in for a week or two,  went back last year and it was still there.  All had dug around it but noone had dug in it..
