Hi Everyone,

I'm back.  I have been busy getting my life in order. It has taken time but I now hope to get down to some serious travelling.   I have found a little van that I bought and I am busy getting it ready for the road.  Talk about decisions, decisions on what to pack.  I have been trying to keep it to the bare minium but that in itself is a challenge.  I hope you have all been keeping well and happy since I last posted.

Hi Vic and Dave,

Thank you for the welcome, I end up buying a VW Campervan Trakka High Roof,  I am very pleased with it as it doesnt have to be registered till next year and it also has low milage which is a plus.  One thing that I liked was it has a swivel stove, I wasnt real keen on cooking inside the van.  A lot I looked at had the stove well inside the van which I felt would leave cooking smells.  Arent I fussy.    It also has a roo bar which I was very pleased with as I would have bought one regardless as  I have in the past  hit roos with my car and you know how much damage they do.  I like to travel early in the morning and they seem to be about at that time.

yes the swivel stove would be a major advantage, we dont cook inside at all, too hard to get the smell out of the curtains and bedding

the trakka is a great vehicle and with a very well thought out interior plan, very user freindly,

being a volkswagon it will serve you very well for a long time to come

well done indeed, let us know of your first forays with it as well as piccys

Will do, always wanted a chaff cutter, that's what we called VDubs when we were kids.  Loved them.

yes chaff cutter and hitlers revenge but there is no denying the things just keep on going and they are so easy to work on, a very reliable vehicle designed by mr porsche

hi libby.  its good to know you,from a fellow banana bender.     in my day we used to call vw's "puddle jumpers".      they bring back fond memories,   my daughter lynda was in year 10 at high school,and she wanted to leave.  so we came to a agreement,i bought her a 1972  1500 beetle,and she stayed at school.     she is nowa senior nurse in the intensive care unit at the wodonga hospital.    so you can see what happens with one volt wagen.
