Vietnam Vets Day on the 18th Aug

I haven't thought out what I'll do, I wish I knew where there was a Vietnamese "Bar" ( just for the memories) I'll give the big ceremonies a miss though, usually you can't get a seat and the Politicians take over with inane speaches.

Best wishes to all who were there! Take care and if you drive don't drink!!!

Have a quiet one tomorrow Basil. I'll have a Red for you on the back verandah. To much politics in it these days for me to attend. Regards

it was a great afternoon/evening here at the R.S.L. Basil, I helped serve the sangers and the booze and B/S flowed freely

one of the fellers who I "take care of " said to me about our "special" kids, we got into a little bit of a yak with all and sundry present at the table and finished up that i went and grabbed the bus and got our "special kids" to do an impromptu concert for the fellers

what an evening, our kids had these buggers rolling in the aisles, there were tears of laughter rolling from most cheeks, wasnt meant to be funny, it was actually this years xmas concert, but I agree they are a funny mob

a bit like steady eddy when he won the dance contest, he said "all I was doing was going to get another drink"!!!

but a great day enjoyed by all, a big thanks to all you blokes and girls in all conflicts who were prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice so that we may sit in luxury grizzling about how bad the world is!!

........................A BIG THANKS FOLK'S!!!!!!!!!!!........a debt forever owed, one  never able to be repaid, but a nation and it's people forever gratefull.........................
