Last heard of a couple of days ago around Uluru with about 30 kids.

He is only in intermittent contact, instead of the frequent long postings, as I believe he is out of internet range at times.

Seems that all is well with him.

Hi folks, no "rumbles" that I am aware of, or at least none worthy of note, I just took some city slickers for a little "drive". we are sitting in Alice at the moment, heaving a sigh of relief at reasonable internet speed, but still at high cost

my "kids" range in age from a gorgeous female 32 year old stockbroker from Sydney to a sprightly 82 year old retired naval officer from Perth, and all ages in between

these have been long term Friends of ours that have never been "bush" so we planned an escape and a get together, they come from all over Australia and have various positions of employment or retirement but were a bit tentative about "stepping out" of their comfort zone on their own,

all are dearly loved by us, there are more but illness has precluded their attendance

I am just showing them that there is only good things "out here", no boogey mans hiding in the shrubbery

we have 15 couples and 5 singles (solo's) but all are lifelong Friends, this is the "regular" number but the camp has swollen to over fifty, I lost count a couple of times, through "passerby Grey nomads"

we have also met a lot of "non posting" Grey nomads up here as well and I have had my ears boxed yet again but I still proclaim all of you non posters as "peepers" and I will continue to do so, just say hello and let us know how you are and what you would like to do, PLEASSSSSE!!!!!!! we all love speech interaction, boring place without interaction

a lot of reasons have been explained to me and I accept those, but the desire from me for all to post is still very strong and will continue, if I have to verbally upset any of you to post then so be it, I love to talk, some of you may have noticed the gift of the gab, I cant shut up

it seems my dribble is under constant scrutiny from a lot of people and highly valued by even more (god only knows why, all I do is yak!!) I have been sought out from various hiding places by some absolutely fantastic people who want to meet "Dave06", all I ask in return is to have a chin-wag, thats all nothing more nothing less

a few have deviated from their course just to "drop in" on the group, (UHF has a lot to answer for up here), but i think thats fantastic, they stay a day or two and leave as good Friends

I have been asked many times why the "Dave06", answer is simple it forms part of my email address, nothing more, nothing less, no more complicated than that, I'm just a simple man, plain old "Dave" does me just fine

so Dave (drongo), nothing sinister and no great illness just the regular ones, I have just been out of "earshot" for a while. I will possibly be back on board Sunday or maybe Monday unless these folks get their way and we just continue on forever, it will be very hard indeed to break up the group and "strike the camp" one last time

some never to be seen again as age claims the weary

we are planning our next one as we speak, maybe the canning stock route or perhaps a couple of creeks out in the scrub somewhere, the cooper would be good again

if it wasn't for the needs of our son and my "special" kids and work commitments I would take up the offer and we would just keep going from place to place, we have our fundraising drive for the cerebral palsy association next week so I will have to be home for that I guess, gotta man the Barby for another 6 hours

to say that our country is wearing it's best "finery" at the moment is an understatement, I have never seen the country looking so lush and green with wildflowers everywhere, the colors are so surreal

anyway I'll shut up and get out of here, finish my cuppa and start organising a few nosebag's for this mob of misfits

but all is well, everybody happy, as someone recently stated "all pigs fed and ready to fly"!!!!!!!!!!!

time to "kick the tyres and light the fire's"

We expect pictures Dave. We want to see what you see out there.
No talking, just pictures - well, a brief description would be ok.
Safe travels. Cheers Chris

Now,now, Dave.  No dummy spitting.

It's just that you type too fast, and some of us are slow readers  winkconfuse

If you find it difficult to post pictures without talking how about doing some audio-visuals, slide shows or even full on movies.

You have all the talents of a good raconteur, now show us how good you are at creating slide shows and/or movies.

Go on: I dare you.

And why the hell not, I ask.

It's your moral duty to stir the pot and keep us lesser mortals on our toes winkbiggrin

Just best not to let yourself get discombubulated when the wind changes and a little of it blows back in your face.

Happens to me all the time. biggrin
