just wondering what would be the best or easyiest way to tow a small car with the motor home? I've heard of like a front wheel frame or something like that or maybe a car trailer?? any one here take there cars with them?
Hi, We tow a small 4X4 on a tandem trailer, if I was to go for a smaller car I would get a Tita trailer. But it seems each to there own some like A frames some like trailers and there is the dolly type each has it's pros and cons.
Hi Milo. Just be careful. Some vehicles can not be A-framed (with all 4 wheels on the ground) because their transmissions are turning all the time and that is bad for them. Check the manual for the vehicle that you have in mind very carefully.
Also, very few people can reverse with an A-framed vehicle on tow. It is very much more difficult than reversing a standard trailer.
Cheers, Peter

I have heard that A frames are illegal in some states, anyone know? I note your motorhome is front wheel drive Fiat Ducato also, I think this is not as good to tow with as a rear wheel drive? Any comments on this from experienced towers/technical persons?
towing with a front wheel drive will pose no other problems than a rear wheel vehicle as long as you abide by the manufacturers guidelines, you may get wheel slippage on wet grass in some cases and if you go hill climbing then slippage will occur but normal highway and biway driving it will be fine
a frames were discussed here in some length on another thread and it appears, although I am not conversant with the rules, that in some states it is actually ilegal but as I said I am not entirely sure about that, perhaps a visit to various motorvehicle registry sites and the apropriate questions to the relevent authorities may disclose an answer
